Support Madeline's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
After 11 days in Westchester and another 2 weeks in rehab mom is home. A ramp was built and porch got patched so we can use the wheelchair getting her in and out. Mom got " plenty of screws" in her hip leg and knee. she has a brace on the leg at all times right now. The left arm also got some screws and has nerve damage to her hand. Still some uncomfortable chest bruising. Healing slowly. Still a long way to full recovery, and will be out of work for several more months.
Thank you for all the love , and appreciate all the support and prayers give. Everyone really has made a difference We have been overwhelmed with knowing we have so many people we can count on, which has really been helpful for the healing process. She will be starting physical therapy twice a week next week. Still have multiple appointments in Westchester. Moving along one day at a time. Thank you all again for your help in Mom's healing and support and prayers. XXXXO
Hi Everyone,
As some of you may know, and if you are finding out this way we truly apologize. Madeline was in a horrific accident on Monday. She suffered Multiple fractures including her hip, shoulder, knee, and leg. Her rehab is going to be VERY LONG and extensive, she also needs numerous surgeries!
If you can find it in your heart to help off set some of the costs including medical bills, travel expenses for her family since she is currently in West Chester Medical, and everyday bills.
Any amount will be greatly appreciated!
Right now she cannot have visitors, but we will keep everyone updated on her progress.
UPDATE!!!
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to give everyone an update on Aunt Madeline's progress. She had a 6+ hour surgery on Wednesday to put rods, screws, and bolts in her shoulder, arm, knee, leg, and hip. They called it a "carpenters surgery". Although she is still in emense pain, she is in good spirits! She still has a long journey ahead of her but thankfully all surgeries are complete and the healing progress can begin. To everyone that has donated thank you so much!!
