Support Madeline's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
We’re starting a fundraiser for Madeline, despite her initial hesitations. Today marks Day 12 of her *current* hospital admission, but it’s actually been nearly six months since her first major surgery, with frequent clinic visits and IV infusions even before that.
We’re not sure when she’ll be home yet (hopefully soon), but we’re working on preparing her brothers’ old bedroom downstairs for her, including a new mattress, fresh paint, and few new supplies. With three girls to shuttle to school and sports, plus daily trips to and from La Crosse for Dakota and I to be with her, the daily demands are adding up. And we’re not sure when life will be back to “normal” yet. As of now, we are still nowhere near a diagnosis.
Our goal in this is to relieve some of the financial burden during this challenging time. Maddie is incredibly stubborn (not sure which parent she gets that from!), but she truly deserves a break. This year has already taken so much from her—her brother, her job, and her livelihood—but it surely won’t take her down entirely!!
I know we can all step up to support her while we let the doctors do their work. If you’re able to contribute financially, it would mean the world. If not, we completely understand and deeply appreciate the love, prayers, and encouragement you’ve shown and continue to show in the meantime. You’re all the best cheerleaders we could ask for!
Donations can also be sent directly to Maddie’s Venmo (@mvsorlie).
Or you can private message me for alternate options.
THANK YOU!
+goal amount edited after speaking with the kids and getting a better handle on what they all need and what out of pocket expenses are. We sincerely appreciate each one of you. Asking for help is never easy, but it is appreciated more than you know. Thank you.
