On the evening of March 12, 2025. Cheryl Moose's 15-year-old daughter Madeleine was traveling with her Dad, heading to cheer practice when their vehicle was struck by a train. Madeleine's father unfortunately did not survive. Madeleine was rushed to the hospital, having to be resuscitated multiple times. She was placed on life support. Suffering multiple fractures throughout her body and major head trauma. She was able to be transferred to MUSC in Charleston, where she can recieve the best care and treatment for her condition. She is making progress and has had the first of what will be multiple procedures and surgeries, but hasn’t woke up yet. The full extent of damage and trauma will not be determined until she is awake.
Cheryl has been staying in Charleston to be able to be with Madeleine while she heals, and she will be there for some time as it will be a long, hard recovery.
While also dealing with these traumatic events, As you can imagine the extra expenses are really adding up.
Madeleine's church and faith are very important to her. So Cheryl has been asking that people continue to pray for Madeleine. She is very active at church, singing, figure skating, art, and playing violin in Orchestra and had just started cheerleading. The hope is to get her back to being able to those again. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
