Support Madelaine's Fight Against Deportation
Donation protected
We're raising funds for our dear friend Madelaine Stephannie Herrara Jimenez, a resilient and hardworking young Hispanic woman in her early 20s who was recently detained by ICE and held for nearly a month under extremely poor conditions.
Madelaine was raised in the United States, where she grew up immersed in the culture, values, and community that shaped who she is today. A proud public vocational school graduate, she studied aviation maintenance—a field she’s deeply passionate about and hoped to build her future in.
She’s also a newlywed, married to a U.S. military veteran, and a volunteer in her church. Her life was just beginning—filled with love, direction, and purpose—when it was suddenly upended.
Madelaine was taken into custody without warning, denied access to a phone call or any explanation, and transported to a border patrol facility. There, she was held without adequate food, warm clothing, or basic necessities—cut off from her family and legal counsel. Despite attempts by lawyers and embassy representatives to reach her, they were denied any information or contact. She was eventually transferred to ICE custody, where she remained for nearly a month before her anticipated release on bond.
With the support of her loved ones and legal team, Madelaine was recently granted bond (set at $1,500) and will soon be reunited with her husband. However, the road ahead remains long and incredibly costly.
To stop her deportation and help her adjust her immigration status, Madelaine is now facing over $13,000 in expenses, including:
- $1,760 in immigration application fees
- Approximately $12,000 in legal costs to continue fighting her case
This fundraiser will help cover:
- The ongoing legal fees required to keep her safe and home
- Application and filing fees necessary for her status adjustment
- General support as Madelaine rebuilds her life after detention
Madelaine is more than just her case—she’s a sister, wife, daughter, friend, and a valued member of her community. She deserves the chance to continue building her life in the only country she’s ever truly called home.
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a real difference. And if you're not in a position to give, please share this campaign with your network to help spread the word.
