Support Maddy’s journey with a life changing service dog
Donation protected
When Maddy suffered an AVM rupture on March 17, 2018, it changed her life dramatically. Since then, she has been in a constant battle with her mental health. As some of you may already know, Maddy suffers from debilitating anxiety and depression. Recently, we have been told by her neuropsychiatrist that Maddy’s “prognosis is poor.” Due to the damage caused by the brain bleed when she suffered the AVM rupture, the embolization, Gamma Knife Radio Surgery, and now the craniotomy, they feel that Maddy’s center of emotion has been permanently damaged. They do not expect her to get better. In fact, they said that as time goes on, her mental health struggles will get worse. She is in therapy weekly. She sees her psychiatrist every 4-6 weeks for medication management. She has tried so many different medications that just don’t work; she is considered medication-resistant.
We are working with Sit Service Dogs to get Maddy a trained service dog to help her navigate her daily life with her mental health struggles from her traumatic brain injury. Please consider donating if you can or share Maddy’s story with others who might want to donate. We ask that you continue to keep our Warrior in your prayers.
