Maddy Young is a proud Indigenous athlete from Lake County, California whose life changed in an instant while playing the game she loves. During a collegiate basketball game at Laney College, Maddy suffered a devastating on-court injury, including a severe concussion and damage to her spinal cord, beginning a long and difficult road of recovery. Maddy has always been known for her heart, determination, and toughness as an athlete. Those same qualities are now helping guide her through one of the most challenging chapters of her life. As she works toward healing and rebuilding, the support from family, friends, teammates, and the community has been overwhelming and deeply meaningful.

Funds raised here will assist Maddy in getting better and help offset both current and future needs, including medical bills, rehabilitation, and any additional support required for her recovery. Every donation, message, and act of kindness helps lift her spirits and brings her closer to healing.
