Maddy and Will’s beautiful boy, Huda, has fallen suddenly and seriously ill. Over the past few days, his condition deteriorated quickly, and he was rushed to the emergency vet early yesterday morning. After seeing a neurologist and undergoing an MRI, they discovered he has a slipped disc. A painful and dangerous condition that can affect his ability to walk and live comfortably.

Right now, Huda is on medication to manage the pain and being monitored by the vets at SASH. During his overnight stay with at SASH, Huda's condition has escalated and taken a turn for the worst. The neurologist has recommended emergency surgery as the best option for his recovery and long-term quality of life.

The vet bills so far are huge. $6,200 for yesterdays emergency visit and MRI, and quoted a further $6,800 for the surgery Huda needs to save him, bringing the total to over $13,000. Maddy and Will would never ask for help themselves, but I know how much they love Huda and how hard this is for them.

They are doing everything they can to help their boy, but the costs are overwhelming. If you’re able to contribute anything, big or small, it would mean the world and help give Huda the chance he deserves to get back on his paws. Maddy and Will are genuinely two of the kindest people you could meet, always there for everyone else and Huda is the sweetest soul. The kind of dog who makes anyone smile just by being around.
