On March 6th, while traveling home from Abilene to San Antonio, my brother Maddux was involved in a devastating head-on collision just outside of Eden, TX. The impact was severe. Maddux was found unconscious and had to be airlifted to an emergency trauma center in San Angelo. The medical team discovered he had suffered significant head trauma, resulting in a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Grade 3 Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI). In addition to these critical injuries, he suffered a broken arm and a shattered shoulder blade. At just 23 years old, Maddux has so much life left to live. We are profoundly blessed and thankful that he is still with us. He is more than just a survivor; he is a devoted son, a beloved brother, and a father to a beautiful 1-year-old daughter. She is the light of his life, and our greatest hope is to see him recovered and home, playing with her again. Maddux is a fighter, but the road ahead is long. To give him the best possible chance at reclaiming his life and his role as a father, he requires intensive neurotherapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy.
Our goal is to move Maddux to a specialized neurological rehabilitation facility in Houston, where he can receive the world-class, expert care his recovery demands. We are asking for your help to bridge the gap and get him the best care possible.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring Maddux one step closer to his daughter and his family. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Maddux in your thoughts and prayers. We know the road to recovery will be long, but with the strength of his family, the love of his friends, and your generous support, we know Maddux can make it through this.
Thank you for standing with our family.
