Hi! First of all, thank you for being here and for your support!

I am Antonio, and Madelyn aka Maddie is my Mother, the best Mother in the world for my brothers and me, and the strongest woman I know! As I sit writing this, never in a million years would I have thought my Mother would be going through all of these medical issues and on top of it all; a traumatizing head-on collision that just happened a few days ago…let’s start from the beginning to recap what a strong and amazing woman my Mother is. She has been going through so much in her life this year…

At the beginning of 2024, my Mother was going through many medical issues, causing her to have to go to numerous doctors and partake in many Hospital admissions trying to find the cause of these problems. In May 2024, she received a call from her doctor that her heart had stopped for over 4 seconds. Because of this, she has implants to this day because of it. Then in June 2024, my Mother was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. This is a disease that can affect sleep patterns, emotions, and many other aspects of everyday living. Fibromyalgia is a condition singer Lady Gaga and actor Morgan Freeman live with. 2024 has been quite an ordeal for my Mother, from one thing to another…

If you know my Mother, you know she is not the one to give up, and in turn, her courage, willpower, and discipline are my and my brothers’ fuel to keep going. Now, after all of these medical issues; ups and downs, and what a true roller coaster it has been for my Mother; a few days ago, specifically, this past Wednesday, August 28, 2024, my Mother and little brother, Raphael were involved in a traumatic head-on collision that resulted in her breaking her right arm and having other injuries and her car being declared a total loss.

A car accident can quickly turn into a life-altering event. On top of her serious injuries and pain, my Mother is experiencing financial turmoil due to the crash and so many other medical issues. Medical bills, transportation costs, and daily expenses have been piling up quickly, especially due to the fact that my Mother is unable to work and earn an income while she is awaiting arm surgery and trying to heal both physically and emotionally. This ordeal is going to entail multiple monthly visits to doctor appointments and PT as well as her other doctor appointments for her heart condition and fibromyalgia treatment. After such a life-altering diagnosis and car accident, it has been non-stop researching, reading, and asking to get my Mother the best treatment, supplements, and therapies available out there. All this comes at a great cost and expense that no one is truly prepared for.

So, after months of juggling all this by herself; this car accident has pushed things to the limit for her, and I have decided to reach out to our broader community for support. I am asking for support from our family, friends, community, and strangers who have been through tough times and/or have known someone who has been through similar ordeals. It doesn’t come easy for my Mother to share this publicly, but no fight is won in isolation. True moments of vulnerability. This page aims to build a support fund to cover transportation, monthly supplements, weekly PT, daily necessary expenses, and much more. All centered around helping her get through this while God’s miracle is complete. Any contributions will help alleviate some of the stress and burden on her, who is just trying to fight this ordeal with all she has, but also live life wholeheartedly. It is with a heartfelt gratitude that I say thank you for reading through this and for any contributions made. One more thing we ask for is to have her in your prayers, so all our voices are heard in the highest.

Mientras escribo esto, nunca en un millón de años hubiera pensado que mi madre estaría pasando por todos estos problemas médicos y, encima de todo, una colisión frontal traumática que ocurrió hace unos días... comencemos desde el principio para recapitular qué mujer tan fuerte y asombrosa es mi madre, a pesar de haber tenido que pasar por tanto en su vida en lo que va de año...

A principios de 2024, mi madre estaba pasando por muchos problemas médicos, lo que la obligó a acudir a numerosos médicos y a pasar por muchas admisiones hospitalarias para intentar encontrar la causa de estos problemas. Si conoces a mi madre, sabes que no es de las que se rinden y, a su vez, su coraje, su fuerza de voluntad y su disciplina son el combustible que tanto yo como mis hermanos usamos para seguir adelante. Ahora, después de todos estos problemas médicos, altibajos y la verdadera montaña rusa que ha sido para mi madre, hace unos días, concretamente, el miércoles pasado, 28 de agosto de 2024, mi madre y mi hermano pequeño, Raphael, sufrieron una colisión frontal traumática que le provocó la fractura del brazo derecho y otras lesiones y la declaración de pérdida total de su coche.

Un accidente de coche puede convertirse rápidamente en un acontecimiento que cambia la vida. Además de sus graves lesiones y dolor, mi madre está atravesando una crisis financiera debido al accidente y a muchos otros problemas médicos. Las facturas médicas, los costos de transporte y los gastos diarios se han ido acumulando rápidamente, especialmente debido al hecho de que mi madre no puede trabajar ni obtener un ingreso mientras espera una cirugía en el brazo y trata de curarse física y emocionalmente. Esta terrible experiencia implicará múltiples visitas mensuales a citas médicas y fisioterapia, así como otras citas médicas para su afección cardíaca y el tratamiento de la fibromialgia. Y después de un diagnóstico que cambió su vida y un accidente automovilístico, he estado investigando, leyendo y preguntando sin parar para conseguirle a mi madre (Maddie) el mejor tratamiento, suplementos y terapias disponibles. Todo esto tiene un gran costo y gasto para el que nadie está realmente preparado.

Entonces, después de meses de hacer malabarismos con todo esto sola, este accidente automovilístico ha llevado las cosas al límite para ella y he decidido pedir apoyo a nuestra comunidad en general. Estoy pidiendo el apoyo de nuestra familia, amigos, comunidad y completos desconocidos que han pasado por momentos difíciles y/o han conocido a alguien que ha pasado por experiencias similares. No es fácil para Maddie compartir esto públicamente, pero ninguna lucha se gana en aislamiento. Momentos de verdadera vulnerabilidad. El propósito de esta página es crear un fondo de apoyo para cubrir el transporte, los suplementos mensuales, la fisioterapia semanal, los gastos diarios necesarios y mucho más. Todo centrado en ayudarla a superar esto mientras se completa el milagro de Dios. Cualquier contribución ayudará a aliviar parte del estrés y la carga sobre ella, que solo está tratando de luchar contra esta terrible experiencia con todo lo que tiene, pero también vivir la vida con todo el corazón.
