Hi there:)

My name is Madison (Maddie). I'm going to Guatemala for a week to be a Spanish interpreter!

I found out about this amazing non-profit organization - Faith in Practice - that goes to Guatemala every year to help people in need who don't have the money to go to a regular hospital. The team specifically that I will be joining is an orthopedic team. So the doctors will mainly be performing hip and knee surgeries.

I’m going to Guatemala to interpret for these amazing people, doing what I love while bridging communication gaps between doctors and patients. I’ll be there every step of the way, working side by side with both to make sure every voice is heard and everyone understands each other.

I have a passion for doing this, and I cannot wait to be there to help with the language. As this is a non-profit group, we are responsible for our expenses. For the whole trip and for our flight there. I'm looking to raise around $2,000. Any small donation is so greatly appreciated. Even if you only can donate a dollar I will be grateful and happy!
