Support Maddie Weirich's Journey in Kenya

Hi I am Maddie Weirich! I'm a senior at Michigan State University studying Special Education. I will be graduating this May! PLEASE READ if you are interested in helping to support my 2 week mission trip in Njoro, Kenya for Our Journey School.

Since I was little, I have always known that I was going to be a teacher. Just ask my brother how many "homework assignments" he had to complete for me over the years. Upon coming to Michigan State, I made the decision to pursue their Special Education program, which earns me the certification of Special Education K-12 and General Education 3rd-6th grade. In anticipation of graduation this spring, I have started to really think about how I can enter this next chapter of my life in a way that best glorifies God. I currently help lead a college ministry on campus and I love getting to share my love for the Lord, so I started to ask God to lead me down a path that would allow me to do so, even if it mean't not getting to be a teacher. Then this opportunity fell into my lap. God has shown me that there is a way to utilize the skills I have acquired for His good!

As I am set to travel to Kenya this June, our mission encompasses multiple goals:

I am currently raising funds for this 2 week mission trip. All funds will be used towards supporting the projects at Our Journey School in Njoro, supplies for families, supplies for 12 sponsored students, and transportation/room and board for me while on the trip.
