Many of you know the story of sweet Madalynn Staller 13 and her family if not your missing out on this wonderful Angel and her journey. Maddie has a rare case of Neonatal Marfans Syndrome and has spent most of her life in and out of hospitals. Recently, she was told she had to have open heart surgery to repair the aortic root as she has an aneurysm along with a mitral valve that is causing severe health issues. She is currently in Cinniatti children’s Hospital as they have been trying to put forth a plan to successfully prepare her to be able to undergone heart surgery. Recently the doctors have decided the medications were no longer working and they have hit a roadblock on what they can do. Doctors spoke to Rachel on a few options of either sending her home on comfort measures and living out the rest of her life or going for another opinion. They sent out referrals and finally have heard back from a few places that will accept her but these hospitals are states away. I’m reaching out asking for help to ease the financial burden as Rachel’s job as a nurse was to care for Maddie at home but with her being in the hospital she is without income and has other children as well. Jamie works very hard to carry this load as she works and travels back and forth to support Rachel and Maddie while caring for Jeshua at home.
