Hello, my name is Tandy and this GoFundMe is for my grandmother Macy. My grandmother was a very stubborn, independent, and strong-willed woman but would give you the bra off her back and never let you leave hungry. She is who me and my mom got our spunk from, lol. My grandmother Macy is a Charlotte native; she is 74. She worked for Merita Bakery and CATS collectively for 30+ years, and now she is dying of stage 4 cervical cancer. She prepared and left a way for us to take care of her final expenses. But (and I normally don't like calling out institutions on social platforms), North Carolina State Employees Credit Union has denied my mother (my grandmother's daughter) power of attorney, flagged my grandmother's account and restricted my mom from purchasing her meds, taking care of her bills, and fulfilling her last wishes. My grandmother prepared for this so we wouldn't have to do a GoFundMe or ask anyone for help. But unfortunately, the system finds a way to make us fight harder. So, I'm asking for your help. Please donate whatever you can to help my mom get through this already difficult time. My mom may not be happy about me telling this part, but I'm a little worried about her. My grandma is the last part of her immediate family. Her dad is gone, and her brother passed away last year. And Mommy, I know you're a strong woman, but we all need help.
