Support Macy's Battle Against Cancer

Mama Macy is a loving glow of all that is good in this world. It is easy to love this joy-infused human who refuses to succomb to dark circumstances, and continues to bring light to all around her. My boys call her "Mama Macy" because that loving role fits her perfectly. She loves and gives more than anyone I know. In fact, she has fought this gofundme setup because she "feels bad" about asking for any help. In my experience as her friend, I believe it is because she enjoys being the helper. I assured her that all of us who love her want nothing more than to gather around her and do all we can to help. Macy's breast cancer has returned and is stage 4 in her bones. The first 3 treatment plans have failed, and it has aggressively spread to her lung. She is going to U of M this Wednesday to start a new treatment, and we are all praying for a miracle. Macy, in addition to being a single mom of four, is currently on disability now for only about 2 weeks, but then she has to go back full time. Being unsure of how well she will be after two weeks coupled with not knowing how much insurance will pay for the new treatment, some peace of mind to cover her medical and living expenses would make a world of a difference. She is already dealing with insurmountable medical bills, and now the additional burden is too much. I am looking for all of those countless givers out there, from Mattawan to the hockey arena, to give even a little towards Macy's fight. Let's give her even a portion of the light she gives to all of us. Macy is my hero, but even heroes need a boost in the darkest moments.
