Hi, my name is Mackenzie, and I’m a soon to be 11th grader raising money to buy and care for a lamb to show at the Fort Bend County Fair. This is something I’ve been really excited about because it’s a great way to learn responsibility, gain experience working with animals, and be part of an amazing tradition.
Buying and taking care of a lamb isn’t cheap. It includes the cost of the animal, feed, supplies, and more. I’m working hard to raise the money, but I could use some help to make it happen.
Raising a lamb for the Fort Bend County Fair will also give me real experience working with animals, which is important for my goal of becoming a vet. I’ll learn how to take care of my lamb by feeding it, keeping it healthy, and making sure it’s ready for the show. This will help me understand animal behavior and basic medical care, which is great practice for a future in veterinary medicine. Being in FFA also gives me the chance to apply for scholarships that can help me pay for college. Showing animals and being involved in agriculture looks good on applications and can help me reach my career goals.
Any support would mean a lot and would go directly toward making sure my lamb is well cared for and ready for the fair. Thank you for helping me reach my goal!
