On December 21, 2025, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. My daughter-in-law, MacKenzie Cummins (maiden name Boyer), passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind her loving husband Dakota and their two amazing boys, ages 4 and 6. MacKenzie was a beautiful, bright, caring, and intelligent woman who touched the lives of everyone around her. Her warmth and kindness made her a cherished wife, mother, and friend.
Dakota and the boys are now living with me, and we are waiting until after Christmas to share the heartbreaking news with the children. Our family is doing everything we can to support Dakota and the boys through this difficult time. We want to honor MacKenzie’s memory with a burial service that reflects her wishes and the love she gave so freely.
The funds raised will go directly toward providing MacKenzie with a proper burial and helping her sons as they transition through this loss. We hope to offer counseling and support to the boys, ensuring they have the care and comfort they need. Any support you can offer will help us give MacKenzie the farewell she deserves and provide stability for her children during this heartbreaking time.
