Support Mac and Vera: Fund a Ceiling Lift

Hello friends! Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe page. As you know, Mac and Vera are a loving couple who've been married for 47 years.

Mac has very advanced chronic progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and has extremely limited mobility. He is always either in his wheelchair or in bed. These days, given his tetraplegia (only 1 limb out of 4 is functional) and 6 foot frame, transferring him from the bed to the chair and vice versa is NOT easy! This really takes a toll on Vera as his primary caregiver, and the strain on her is not sustainable.

We need help raising funds for an electric ceiling lift to make this situation functional and safe for everyone. The ceiling lift will not only improve both Mac and Vera's quality of life, but it comes with a feature that will allow Mac to "gait train". This means it's possible he could even regain function!

Of course, this is something that insurance will not pay for. Any contribution you can make to help us offset this substantial cost will greatly contribute to our lives.
