Support Mabel's Fight Against Cancer

My name is Mabel, I am 42 years old, a single mother with three children, two of them minors living with me.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer December 12th 2024

It was devastating for me because I live alone with my daughters and cover the costs of housing, utilities, and food myself.

On January 31st I had a bilateral mastectomy with breast reconstruction.

On February 26th I had a 2nd surgery for skin necrosis in one breast to remove the dead skin (debridement). In March 19th I had the 3rd surgery in same breast because wound wasn't closing and I had a discharge, they cleaned the area with just local anesthesia and sent me back home 3 days later I ended in ER with fever and a lot of pain they gave me antibiotics and sent me home. I sent an email to plastic surgeon, they gave me and emergency appointments, the plastics surgeon told me that I have an implant infection and he will need to remove it. On March 25th I had the 4th surgery and due to that infection I spent 5 days in the hospital with pain medication and antibiotics.

I am better now since last surgery, now I realize that my treatment will takes longer and I won't be able to return to work as soon as I thought due to this complications. I will get 2 more surgeries for reconstruction at the end of the year right after I ended with chemotherapy.

I am starting chemotherapy on April 28th , 2025. I have been out of work for three months already due to my medical condition and will be out of work for the rest of the year now while I finish chemotherapy treatment and surgeries.

I am asking for help to pay my house rent, utilities, medicines, and hospital bills while I recover and can return to work.
