With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of my maternal uncle, M. Ramanathan, during an urgent evacuation from Kinshasa, DR Congo, to Nairobi, Kenya. Due to inadequate medical facilities in Kinshasa, DR Congo, we had to transfer him urgently. Despite efforts upon landing and subsequent treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital, he could not be revived after his heart stopped multiple times.

To support his grieving family and cover the substantial expenses, we are raising funds specifically for the air ambulance costs. Attached are the medical reports, the letter of recommendation from the treating doctor in Kinshasa, the acceptance letter from Aga Khan University Hospital in Kenya, and the invoice for the air ambulance. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will help ease the burden during this difficult time.
