Support Lyric's Spine Surgery Journey

Hi! My name is Alicia and I am starting this GoFundMe for Dewayne and Andria Aylor. It will be used for medical/travel expenses as they take their granddaughter, Lyric, to cooks for a surgery on her spine. Lyric was born at 22 weeks with Cerebral Palsy. She has spent her seven years of life fighting against all odds. She is a sweet little girl and can make you smile the minute you see her. She is a fighter! On June 4 she will have SDR surgery (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy). This surgery is a neurological procedure used to treat spasticity in muscles by going into the spine and clipping the misfiring nerves. Her legs are getting stiffer daily and this surgery we hope will help with that. This is a nine hour surgery at Cooks in Fort Worth. She will be in the hospital from 6-8 weeks if everything goes well. Which means traveling back and forth for Dewayne and Andria. They would never ask for anyone to help them, but I will. I have watched how they care for her with so much love and tenderness since I have met them. They are wonderful people and my life is blessed to have them in it.
