In late 2022, Lyric rescued me in Elizabeth, NJ during an uncertain time in my life and unknowingly encouraged me to move to Los Angeles, CA and change my life for the better. He has been thriving as a Hollywood cat since, but had some pricey health scares (just as I did). When I was brought back to life in an ambulance and rushed for a cardiac ablation that costed hundreds of thousands of dollars, I did not ask for donations. When I made another emergency visit only months later for stroke-like symptoms where I was diagnosed with ultimately MS, I did not ask for donations. Nor did I ask for donations after any of my annual MRIs or $100K+ infusion treatments since… but I have reliable insurance, thanks to my employer.

Lyric, however, had severe dehydration last year which was about $300 and had no coverage at the time. Luckily, I was able to handle that cost out-of-pocket, but this is different.

I consider myself a responsible person and invest in insurance for emergencies, but negative experiences with pet insurance in the past lead me to believe this will not be covered and this is way more than I anticipated, but refused to not get checked.

After some lethargy, I noticed Lyric limping. The xray and emergency visit alone came out to $1,708.81 which I need to pay up front. I put it on my credit card with no hesitation, but decided to start this fundraiser to see if I could find some help in paying this bill off within the month.

I include Lyric in my social media content often and I know how much people love to see him and enjoy the songs I create for him.
