My name is Sam, and I am fundraising on behalf of my dear friend, Lynsey, who is living through every parent's worst nightmare.

On 28 June, her beloved son, Josh, was critically injured in a hit-and-run road traffic collision in London, a tragedy that has since received widespread media coverage.

Josh is a university student in London studying Fashion Journalism, pursuing a future he is deeply passionate about. He is currently on life support, and his future remains uncertain.

As a single mum of three, Lynsey is now facing an impossible situation. While desperately wanting to remain by her son's bedside in London, she also has two young children at home in Warrington who need their mum. She must divide her time between London and home, making regular journeys while trying to support all three of her children.

With having elderly grandparents who are already helping as much as they can, there is little practical help available. The costs of travel, accommodation, parking, meals and caring for her younger children are mounting every day, placing an enormous financial strain on a family already experiencing unimaginable heartbreak.

I will be helping her in every way I can, but no one should have to face this alone. I have created this fundraiser to help relieve some of the financial pressure, allowing her to focus on what matters most: being there for her son while continuing to care for her other two children.
