This past September, our mom Lynn Haney was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. She has undergone surgery and is beginning chemotherapy next week, followed by radiation because her cancer is very aggressive. During her chemotherapy, Lynn will become extremely sick from the side effects of her medication, and this will be ongoing for several months.

Lynn is a devoted mom of five and a proud nana of 5, recently welcoming her first granddaughter in September. For 17 years, she’s worked hard at Home Depot, always making time for family game nights, music, and sharing stories. Lynn’s love for her family shines through in everything she does—crocheting personalized blankets for each of us, cooking her famous clam chowder and shrimp scampi at our favorite lobster cookouts, and tending to her garden with care. She’s a big football fan and the heart of our family, always there for us and our kids and pets, no matter what.

Because of the aggressive nature of her cancer, Lynn faces a year of intense chemotherapy, starting October 29th. She is in the hospital several times a week, and her immunity will be low, making it hard for her to spend time with all of her grandkids. Our family has been taking time off work to support her through appointments and surgery, and the emotional and financial strain has been significant.

We’re raising funds to help cover Lynn’s medical bills, lost income, medications, and home supplies during her treatment. Lynn prefers that family members be contacted for updates, and we’ll be sharing her progress on Facebook. Any support will help ease the burden and allow us to focus on helping Lynn heal and stay strong for her family.
