It all began when Lynette decided to downsize and economize, to pay some debt by selling her Jeep, and buying this "reasonably priced" Nissan Sentra, hoping to have a bit of capital gain. Well, the asking price was low, but the bottom fell out of the plan when it was discovered that, due to poor maintenance, the transmission was failing 2 months after the purchase! After the dealer turned a deaf ear, she opted to have the transmission replaced, at a cost of around $6,000, and cast herself on the goodwill of her friends and family.
