Support Lynda Shamah's Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Jennifer White and I am writing this on behalf of my mother, Lynda Shamah, and our family.

On May 28, 2025, my mom was rushed to the hospital in excruciating pain. That night we learned she was internally bleeding from a ruptured tumor on her kidney. Although the doctors were able to stop the bleeding, her body experienced massive trauma. She was placed on a ventilator and admitted to the ICU. After fighting for her life, she was taken off the ventilator after 11 days- a true miracle - and moved to a rehabilitation facility to relearn how to eat, speak, and walk again.

Unfortunately, this was not the last battle she had to overcome. On August 21st, the tumor had started to bleed again. While the doctors had stopped the bleeding, complications from the procedure caused a multitude of other health issues. This led to my mom staying in the hospital for nearly 2 more months and set her recovery journey back to square one. Today she is back in rehab working hard to learn to walk again, but continues to live with serious health issues.

My mom is incredibly resilient and brave. She keeps a positive attitude and is extremely motivated to get better. Her biggest motivation is her grandson, who was born only a month prior to this happening. My dad, Jay, has been her biggest supporter and caretaker through this entire journey. He has spent every single day by her side advocating for her through everything.

This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial stress for the Shamah family — as both of my parents have been away from work since May. The medical costs from the multiple hospital visits, rehab stays, ambulances transfers, and so much more are starting to accumulate. This fund would cover these medical expenses, as well as, future costs for any hospital stays, rehab care, travel for appointments and any day-to-day needs. This will allow my dad to stay by her side, while my mom focuses fully on healing.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to give financially, sharing this page and sending prayers, encouragement, and positive energy mean just as much.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity, your support, and your prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
