My name is Lyman, and I’ve recently been diagnosed with Chronic Hypoxic Respiratory Failure with Restrictive Lung Disease. This condition has completely changed my life. I now rely on oxygen every day, and I’m no longer able to work as a semi truck driver. Even simple activities like getting up and moving around leave me out of breath and dizzy. I can’t exercise like I used to, and I often miss family events because of chronic fatigue and my dependence on oxygen.
My wife and daughter are my biggest supporters. My wife works full time, and my daughter is a high school sophomore involved in after-school activities. They help me as much as they can, but I’m often left managing on my own during the day. I do what little I can around the house, but I don’t venture far because I get fatigued so easily. The financial strain of medical bills, oxygen equipment, and everyday living costs has been overwhelming for us. I’ve been a Landstar BCO and mentor of many bcos.
Support from this fundraiser would mean the world to my family and me. It would relieve a huge amount of stress and help me afford my oxygen on a more regular basis. Your generosity would allow us to focus on my health and well-being, and give us hope during this difficult time. Thank you for considering a donation and for supporting us as we navigate these challenges.
