Through all the trials and tribulations we've been through over the last 13 years, I never thought cancer at 33 would be one of them. This man. This man is my right hand and my left foot. Lyle is a son, a husband, an amazing father to 5 beautiful daughters, and a friend to everyone. But who is he really? He is the type of man to walk miles in the rain at 1 in the morning for Tylenol and a thermometer. He is the type of man to wake in the middle of the night to make sure his daughters feeding tube is still pumping. He's the dad that will stay up all night soothing a sick baby and go to work on an hour of sleep. He's the "Everything will workout" type of man. The work on his days off to put food on the table type of man. He's the type of man that will be laying on the bathroom floor for 24 hours sick, but get to work at 4 am to make sure the roads are plowed so people can get together on Thanksgiving day, type of man. There's just something about Lyle. He brings joy to others. His smile is contagious and he can warm a cold heart. I always joke around when I'm frustrated " Oh, cause everyone loves lyle!" But it is so true! It doesn't matter if it's a 1 year old baby or a 70 year old man. Everyone loves him! This man never complains and never gives up! As he sat with the cancer doctor yesterday, discussing taking time off. He asked him if he needed any yard work done. Because he will not allow his babies to go hungry! He is about to go through one of his biggest trials yet, and he is going into it with a smile, sense of humor, and hope! Lyle is starting intense chemo on Monday and will be off work for several weeks. If you are able to help, not only will you be helping with bills, rent, the endless hospital bills, food, transportation but you will bring him peace knowing it's okay to put himself first. Which is something he never does. This selfless, kind, loving man needs us now more than ever. Our family thanks you more than you will ever know.
