Support Lydia's Fight for Life

Our daughter Lydia is a month old today and fighting to stay earthside with us. She and her brother Erik have a very rare genetic disorder called DNA Ligase 4, of which there is only one other person in the world with it right now. It affects growth, eating abilities, and these kids are at a higher risk for leukemia and bone marrow failure. In the instance of our daughter, Lydia has a much worse case than our son and is struggling to eat and breathe already.

She is at Primary Children’s right now and will be for a long time. And since we live a couple of hours away, we need to quickly relocate to be there for our little girl; now and in the future. Especially because we only have one car.

Parents know how hard it is to be away from their kids, especially when they are sick. With moving, we could be there with our daughter and also have the ability to take care of our son while still managing to work and continue on with the everyday things life asks of us.
