Support Lydell Thomas' Stroke Recovery Journey

My name is James Thomas II, and I am beginning this fundraiser on half my mother Lydell Thomas. Unfortunately, on July 22th of this year, my mother suffered a stroke which effected the right side of her body.

Fortunately, after the stroke and after being released from the hospital, she was able to be admitted into a rehabilitation hospital to start rehab. After her 3 weeks of rehab, she improved by gaining 3/5 of mobility to her arm and leg, which prior to admission was in a state of paralysis, but still at this phase of her recovery lacks strength which makes her still dependent. After being discharge on August 16, her recovery came to a halt.

The goal for my mother is to continue rehab to make a full recovery or get very close, in order to have quality of life. There is no better place to continue her journey than to be admitted in Tirr Memorial Hermann as an inpatient to receive treatment day 5 days a week for 3weeks to a month.

This is where we need your help.

Unfortunately, there is a copay for the first 5 day. The copay for each day cost $305. After the 5th day, her insurance will cover up to 90 days if it's necessary.

My mother is on a fixed income, and I do not have the funds to cover the copay.
