Help Luz in the Fight Against Cancer
Hello, my name is Luz, and I am reaching out to you today to share my journey and ask for support as I face one of the toughest challenges of my life: battling cancer.
In September 2024, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma stage 3 bone cancer, and my world was completely turned upside down. The doctors confirmed the diagnosis, and I was faced with a reality I never imagined. The past 8 months have been a constant rollercoaster of emotions, hospital visits, treatments, and moments of uncertainty.
In May 2024 my husband and I relocated to San Diego, CA, to be closer to my family after living in Las Vegas almost my entire life. For over 30 years my husband and I had our own Lawn Care business, but unfortunately my husband suffered a bad fall from a wall while working that fractured both of his shoulders and back. Two rotator cuff surgeries later that never healed properly, we sadly lost our business. I had every intention to start a new career path once settled in San Diego, but in August I began experiencing extreme pain all over my back and on my left hip side, that forced me to be admitted to the ER, and during my hospital stay after several scans/procedures was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Multiple Myeloma (Bone/Skeletal).
I began an immediate agressive treatment of targeted radiation that really didn’t achieve much positive results. In addition, my body has always been very sensitive to narcotics/medications. These last eight months have been the most toughest of my life, learning and dealing with this terminal disease. With my husband’s recent disability, the financial burden has been immense. And since my diagnosis, I have been fighting Social Security to obtain disability myself, which has been another uphill battle.
Throughout this journey, I’ve encountered many obstacles, both physically and emotionally. The treatments — radiation, surgeries — have been incredibly taxing. But what has kept me going is the hope, my faith in my savior Jesus, the love of my family and friends, and my determination to beat this disease.
Unfortunately, the financial burden of my treatments has been overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly toward my medical expenses, living costs, and anything that can help alleviate the stress of this battle. I truly appreciate all your help. By donating you help me achieve a better quality of life. I plan to enroll into an Immunity Therapy treatment center with very promising and positive results. I count my blessings for the love and support I have received from my family and friends, and now your support too means the world.
No amount is too small, and every contribution is deeply appreciated. Your support not only helps with the financial strain but also lifts my spirits during this challenging time. I truly believe that with the strength of my loved ones and your generosity, I can overcome this battle and come out stronger on the other side.
I continue to have faith and hope in our great, wonderful, and powerful savior Jesus Christ, who can heal me, should that be his will in my life. God knows how much I want to help others with cancer, and other illnesses, to motivate, support, encourage, and share my story to guide and educate, and most importantly to never give up.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story and considering supporting me in this fight. Your kindness, love, and encouragement mean the world to me.
Man may have their own plans, but God has the last word.
God bless you and multiply your generous heart.
Thank you so much,
With gratitude and love,
