Honoring the Life of Luz Geronima Avila Saavedra

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Luz Geronima Avila Saavedra, who left this world at the age of 57. Luz lived a life overflowing with love, kindness, and peace. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, cherished Tia, and treasured friend whose warmth touched everyone she met.

Luz entered and departed this world on the same day—a poignant reflection of the beautiful circle of life she completed. Her love for her children and grandchildren was boundless, and her life was a living testimony to her deep faith. Luz was a faithful servant of Christ and deeply involved with her church community, continually offering her time, prayers, and compassion. Though her departure came unexpectedly, we rejoice knowing she now rests in God’s eternal embrace, and we find comfort in the promises of His grace.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life… will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:38–39

We are raising funds to help cover the costs of her funeral services, as we come together to honor her legacy. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and your support means the world to our family.

Con el corazón lleno de tristeza, compartimos el fallecimiento inesperado de nuestra amada Luz Gerónima Ávila Saavedra, quien partió de este mundo a los 57 años. Luz vivió una vida llena de amor, bondad y paz. Fue una madre, abuela, hermana, querida tía y amiga entrañable cuya calidez tocó a todos quienes la conocieron.

Luz llegó y partió de este mundo en el mismo día—una reflexión conmovedora del hermoso ciclo de vida que completó. Su amor por sus hijos y nietos fue inmenso, y su vida fue un testimonio vivo de su profunda Fe. Luz fue una fiel servidora de Cristo y estuvo profundamente involucrada en la iglesia, ofreciendo constantemente su tiempo, oraciones y compasión. Aunque su partida fue inesperada, nos regocijamos al saber que ahora descansa en el abrazo eterno de Dios, y encontramos consuelo en las promesas de Su gracia.

“Porque estoy convencido de que ni la muerte ni la vida… podrá separarnos del amor de Dios que es en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor.” — Romanos 8:38–39
