Hi, my name is Lu. I have terminal colon cancer. I had my first diagnosis before the age of 30. I participated in a clinical trial, but it was unsuccessful and now the cancer is back. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of research for my type of cancer so I do not have many treatment options. I can only hope that research is able to catch up with technology soon so I can finally be cancer free. If you know of any trials for the pMMR gene I would be a great fit.
I am unable to work and I don’t have insurance, so life has gotten really expensive. Any little bit of support I would be ever so grateful for.
Before my cancer diagnosis, I was extremely active in the animal rescue world, fostering neonatal babies who required round the clock care. At this time, I have had to take a step back from doing what I love so much. I currently care for local feral colonies.
Fighting cancer is daunting and requires both emotional and financial support. The costs associated with cancer treatment can be overwhelming, including:
- Medical bills for treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries
- Hospital stays and related expenses
- Travel costs to and from treatment centers
- Household expenses since I am unable to work as I was the first time as well
-basic needs of my animals while I am here and when I am gone
Because the bills are piling up from the first time with cancer I am just trying to raise enough help cover the travel, lodging and necessities for me and my babies this second round of cancer treatment. Any little bit helps so I can focus on what truly matters—healing and recovery.
