Support Lurlyne's Fight Against Liver Cancer

Aloha Family and Friends,

First I want to start by saying how difficult this decision has been for our family to finally reach out and ask for help. This chapter of life has been private and heavy for Lurlyne and our ohana.

My sister, Lurlyne, is a 42 yr old single mother to a beautiful 7 yr old girl, Alana Rose. Lurlyne is a loving, caring woman and Alana is her whole life and soul.

Earlier this year Lurlyne was diagnosed with metastatic hepatocellular (Liver cancer) and over the last couple of months her symptoms have become worse. She is experiencing abdominal pain, fatigue, loss of appetite and weight loss. Each day she has found a physical and emotional way to cope.

In September 2024, we received devastating news from her Oncology that her cancer spread to her lungs and has 12 to 18 months to live. We are completely heartbroken and during these next few months we are making arrangements to ensure Alana’s well-being and support after my sister is gone.

We are about to face the most difficult situations like planning for her funeral. She has not been able to work since January. All donations will be used for medial expenses, funeral cost and Alana’s support when my sister passed.
