Hello! My name is Nicole! My husband and I adopted our sweet Lupita on January, 24th, 2021 at 9 months old (a day before my birthday). Lupita is my heart and soul dog. She is my whole world and I am hers.

Prior to her adoption, she has lived a very hard life of abuse at such a young age.

After her adoption, she has faced many struggles. She is on a daily anxiety pill to help with the trauma she suffered in Texas and daily thyroid pill. Lupita had a growth removed out of her mouth later in the year of 2021 when we went in for a routine dental.

The biggest struggle is that she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at only two years old in November, 2022. Her left hip was not attached and she had major left hip surgery three weeks later.

In August, 2024, she had a growth removed from her paw that was determine to be a cyst after a biopsy was done due to it being the second growth removed.

Unfortunately, we found out earlier this year that she will need her second hip surgery and she is only five.

After everything she has been through, she is still her same old self but her hip is causing pain and she needs to have the surgery to help improve her life.

Lupita is such an amazing dog and she doesn’t deserve to go through any of this!

The total cost of the 2nd hip surgery is $3700 and includes all follow ups, therapy and medications.
