Support Lupita's Forensic Science Dream

Hi everyone, my name is Lupita and I’m fundraising to attend an incredible academic opportunity in New York City this fall.

I was recently accepted into a competitive 8-week program that runs from October through December. This program is designed to prepare students like me for graduate school, and I’ll even be earning credits toward my future Master’s degree in Forensic Science.

Currently, I’m finishing up my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. I honestly applied to this program on a whim and was not expecting to get accepted—but I did! Because I found out late and applied late, I wasn’t financially prepared for the costs.

To secure my spot, I need to cover:

$600 deposit to hold my place

$400 flight to New York City

Plus any tuition not covered by financial aid.

This program is truly a dream come true for me. It’s known for being tough to get into, and I feel so grateful to have been given this chance. I’ve already begun the process of applying for financial aid, but with deadlines coming up so quickly, I still need immediate help to cover these upfront expenses.

I want everyone to know that I am doing everything I can on my own to make this happen. I’ll be taking any and all overtime offered at my job, collecting cans to recycle and sell, donating plasma, and finding every possible way to earn and save money toward this goal. Still, I’m short on time, which is why I’m asking for help.

Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to me. Your support will not only help me attend this once-in-a-lifetime program but also bring me one step closer to my ultimate goal of becoming a forensic scientist.
