We are asking for help for my dear friend Lupe Hernandez, on October 9th, 2024 he received the most devastating news anyone could receive. After two weeks of scans and a biopsy his entire world was turned upside down, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, his specific sub- type is verty rare, aggressive and extremely difficult to treat and has no documented cure. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Barnes Jewish Hospital Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis Missouri with the hopes to get him into a long remission and allow him to keep fighting this terrible disease.

His treatments are very aggressive and consist of two types of chemotherapy that require inpatient treatments of a week each round for a total of six rounds and then rescan to determine the next steps in his treatment. While in the hospital for treatment he also will undergo two lumbar punctures to administer chemotherapy into is spine area as well. Between the treatments, the hospital stays, reduced income while on medical leave, his portion of medical bills and cost of living are adding up and we are asking for any help that you could provide to help with the burden of his situation. His family is in Michigan and funds would also be used to allow his sons who live there to be able to come visit and provide support as well him visiting when his condition permits. Any donation will be met with immense gratitude and will help us get Lupe closer to a remission and allow him to keep fighting.
