Hi, my name is Shannon, and I'm reaching out for help on behalf of my brother’s beloved dog, Luna.

Luna is my brother’s dog and is his only family at home since my grandfather passed away. My brother moved in to help with my grandfather’s care for several years before he passed away.

Luna has always been a source of joy and comfort in his life, but recently she has fallen seriously ill and requires urgent veterinary care that he is really unable to afford.

Luna has been diagnosed with multiple blood clots that have damaged her spleen, kidneys, and her foot. Unfortunately, we still don’t know why she started developing blood clots in the first place. She has had part of her paw amputated with more expected. She has lost about 20% of her body weight since initially getting sick in March. The total cost of her medical care, including the initial week-long hospitalization, multiple lab tests, specialist visits, x-rays, ultrasound, initial foot surgery, and an echocardiogram amounts to over $15,000. Unfortunately, this is more than he can handle alone, and I'm turning to my friends, family, and compassionate strangers for help.
