My name is Luna Brekke, I'm a disabled trans woman from Minnesota, and I'm seeking donations to help my recovery after my upcoming vulvoplasty. I'm getting this lifesaving surgery on December 9, which will finally alleviate dysphoria that I've dealt with for decades.

The procedure itself is covered by insurance, but I'll still need to purchase recovery supplies and cover the cost of food and other normal living costs for myself and my caregiver (my lovely girlfriend Soph, who is moving here from Michigan). Recovery from this surgery will be hardest in the first two weeks, but it'll take about 3 months before i get back to feeling 90%. If you're not able to help financially, I'd also really appreciate emotional support and your company during this time, too.

My hope is that after this surgery, a lot of my dysphoria and dissociation around my body will be resolved, allowing me to do more and to take part in community to a greater extent again. I would love to increase my involvement in local politics and local trans advocacy again in a more sustainable way with my greater capacity, hopefully avoiding the burnout I've experienced in the past.
