Our eldest child, Luna, has been invited to attend a Junior National Young Leader's Conference in Washington, DC! It starts the day after her birthday in just a couple of weeks at the beginning of July, and we could use a little assistance in making sure this opportunity doesn't pass her by.

She was initially nominated by one of her teachers a couple of years ago to attend an Envision National Youth Leadership Forum STEM program, a true honor. She was able to stay at U of H for a week building robots and programming a computer game, along with lots of other really incredible learning projects with other stand-out students from around the country. Then last year, she attended again as an alumni, this time at Houston Christian University.

Now, she has the opportunity of a young woman's life, to attend a leadership conference in the nation's capital to learn how to be a future leader. This is an opportunity that we really want her to be able to take advantage of. She will be flying to Washington, DC and staying with other students in a very tightly supervised and protected setting, and she will be able to meet other future leaders from around the country and make memories that will last her a lifetime. There are some incredible key note speakers, and she will even be visiting the House of Congress and speaking directly with law makers.

She has truly made us very proud parents, and we are so excited that she has been honored with such a prestigious opportunity.
