(The cover pic is LUNA now at the ER Hospital - the other three when she was well and the last with her brother.)
LUNA IS BACK HOME.
Luna has a glucose monitor that gets replaced every 2 weeks and gets insulin injections twice a day.... and she does not like being poked.
For this small little chiweenie who only ate once a day is making us crazy trying to feed her twice a day. At times just out right will not eat making it difficult to maintain proper glucose levels which force us back to the ER.
Please pray.
I need prayers for my fur baby Luna Attianese-Heller. She has been at the Animal Emergency for the past 4 days. This is her second hospitalization this month. She came home and now she is back. We have to start a GoFundMe for her. So far, it is costing over 20 thousand dollars, and they still don't know what's wrong. I have maxed out my credit cards, we have no where to turn to but other people to help support and pray for our Luna. She's in critical care. She is not old; she's only 7 and a half. Please help us get Luna home. She is getting the best care, and the insurance for her only covered 3 thousand. I LOVE her with all my heart. I want to thank you for your prayers and if you can do donations. We are REALLY afraid for her.
Since December, she has undergone surgery for kidney stones. Luna came home and was not right. We brought her back to the vet every other day. Finally; they ran a culture and was the results showed Luna had E. coli. ( if they would have listened 3 weeks sooner). She went untreated for those three weeks and was given at home antibiotics. I asked if Luna should be on a IV antibiotic and they said no. While on the antibiotics Luna was still just laying around, my son (who is 26 and has CKD) is a wreck; Luna wouldn't eat and was no where acting like herself. We rushed her to a fully staffed emergency animal hospital, thank god we did! We found out Luna is now diabetic (they do not know if the E.Coli had anything to do with the diabetes) Luna's blood sugar was over 730 and placed into critical care at the animal hospital. Luna was stable, they thought after 4 days (and $10,450 later charged on different credit cards) and we took her home. Luna would not stop vomiting with the runs and was lethargic is now back in the emergency hospital under critical care. A friend put the deposit down for her to be admitted ($8500). We now have no where else to turn but to anyone that can help us.
Our home is not the same without her here. We need to continue treatments and try to find out why Luna is still so sick and this could take as long as two weeks to get Luna stable and back home where he mommy misses her and her brother.
If we cannot raise the money they said we have an option to put her to sleep or let nature take its course. THAT IS NOT AN OPTION. So I am here begging (I never beg; but for Luna and my son I beg) the community for help in raising the money needed to get my baby home. The amount that you see is an approximate from the ER animal hospital. God willing we can raise this money and don't need it all we will give it to another GoFundMe for their fur baby!
If there are any veterinarians who see this, who may know why or what may be causing this please contact me.
You are Luna's last hope. We have run up our credit cards and hit our savings (as little as it was)
I need to get my baby well and home, this is also affecting my sons health not having Luna here.
Please also pray for Luna to get well quickly and get home to her family. Luna was a shelter dog who was adopted and returned three times before we adopted her.
Thank you from the bottom of my broken heart for your prayers and any help you can give.
