Help My Father Fight His Brain Tumor: Support Luming’s Recovery

Hello friends, family, and kind strangers,

My name is Albert, and I’m humbly reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life. My beloved father, Luming, who is 73 years old, recently underwent a 14-hour brain surgery in Taipei Medical University Hospital to remove a tumor that had been silently growing in his brain.

Thanks to the dedication of an incredible medical team, he made it through the operation—but the battle is far from over. The surgeons were only able to remove 60% of the tumor, and 40% still remains. To continue fighting, my father now urgently needs advanced post-surgical treatment known as PET therapy, which requires five days of treatment per week for four consecutive weeks.

Each session is critical. Without it, the remaining tumor could grow and threaten his life again.

Why I’m Asking for Your Help

Our family is doing everything we can to support him emotionally, physically, and financially. But the cost of surgery, hospitalization, and upcoming treatments has become overwhelming. We’ve already exhausted much of our savings, and the estimated cost for his ongoing care—including PET therapy, medications, and recovery expenses—totals around $45,000 USD.

To make matters more difficult, shortly after I informed my employer about my father's medical crisis and my need to be by his side, I was laid off from my job. That moment broke me—not just financially, but emotionally. I’ve always believed in showing up for those we love, and I wasn’t going to let my father go through this alone.
