Help us launch the "Luminar For All" Access Fund for veterans, seniors, and our neurodiverse community.
"Technology should bring us together, not drive us apart."
My name is Olu Adegoke. I have lived in North County for years, and I love our community. But I’ve noticed something missing.
We have incredible technology—Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR)—but it all requires a headset. It isolates us. When you put on a VR headset, you disappear into a digital world, leaving your friends and family behind.
More importantly, headsets exclude the people who need wonder the most.
My grandmother with dementia cannot use a confusing VR controller to revisit her favorite memories.
A child with autism or sensory processing needs often cannot tolerate a heavy headset strapped to their face.
A veteran with PTSD might find the isolation of a headset triggering rather than therapeutic.
I realized that if I wanted to share the awe of the cosmos, the beauty of a forest, or the peace of a mountaintop with everyone, I had to change the medium.
That is why I am building Luminar Sphere.
Luminar Sphere is a "Shared Reality" venue coming to North City, San Marcos. Instead of headsets, we use a massive 15-meter projection dome and an Immersive Audio Floor powered by an Infrasonic Bass System. You walk in, sit down, and let the universe surround you.
Why We Need Your Help: The "Luminar For All" Access Fund
We have secured the major funding to build the walls and buy the projectors through investors and loans. But to launch our specific community impact programs on Day 1, we need your support.
We are raising $25,000 specifically to fund the "Luminar For All" Access Fund. Every dollar you donate goes directly to these three pillars:
Inclusive Equipment ($10,000 Goal): Purchasing specialized transfer chairs and adaptive sensory kits (weighted blankets, noise-canceling headphones).
Therapeutic Content ($10,000 Goal): Licensing "Reminiscence Therapy" libraries for dementia patients and "Nature Grounding" visuals for PTSD recovery.
Community Ticket Bank ($5,000 Goal): Distributing 500 free tickets to local foster youth and veteran organizations.
Our Vision for San Marcos
For Our Veterans: Partnering with local therapists to offer "Grounding Sessions" where nature visuals and calming infrasonic vibrations help lower cortisol levels.
For Our Seniors: "Travel Without Movement." Taking a group trip to Paris in the 1950s without leaving their wheelchairs.
For the Deaf & Hard of Hearing: Hosting "Vibro-Acoustic Concerts" where the music is felt through the floor.
For the Blind & Low Vision: Creating "3D Audio Landscapes" where spatial sound tells the story.
For the Down Syndrome Community: Offering "Predictable Play" sessions with warm lighting and gentle themes.
For STEM Education: Turning the dome into a massive classroom where students stand on the surface of Mars.
I believe San Marcos can be the home of the future of entertainment—a future that includes everyone.
Thank you for helping us bring the light.
With gratitude,
Olu Adegoke, Founder, Luminar Sphere.
