My partner, Blaine, and I have always loved animals. Wherever we’ve lived, we’ve made it a point to be kind to the dogs on our street by offering food, water, love, and respect.
They’ve always felt like part of the neighborhood, even if they didn’t belong to anyone in particular.
But two weeks ago, everything changed.
On a slow Wednesday morning, a street dog we’d come to know well—Goldie, a new mama—showed up at my front gate. And then she did something I will never forget.
She brought her puppies to me.
One by one.
Each time she returned, she looked at me like she was saying, “LuLu, I need help. I can’t do this alone anymore.”
I didn’t hesitate.
I fed each puppy, one by one, and by that same evening I had made a post in the community. Within hours, three of the puppies had already found loving homes.
Everything has been moving quickly, not out of chaos, but out of clarity.
Since then, our life has been fostering, vet visits, treatments, sterilizations, medications, and daily care. What began as a single moment of trust between me and Goldie became this heartfelt mission to serve in a greater way.
I truly could not have done any of this without Blaine, whose steady support, compassion, and willingness to jump in at every step made this possible. And just as importantly, without the local community here—the vets, neighbors, clinic staff, and kind-hearted people who showed up when it mattered.
This fundraiser exists because that moment with Goldie opened something in us. Once you see it, once you’re chosen like that, you don’t really get to go back.
We’re committed to continuing this work: to helping control overpopulation through sterilization, and to making life gentler and safer for the dogs who share this place with us.
Thank you for being part of this story.

In our neighborhood, street dogs are a part of our daily lives. Many are gentle, resilient souls with big personalities navigating a life without consistent food, shelter, safety, or medical care. Over the past months, we’ve felt called to do more... and we’ve already begun.
So far, with our own resources and the help of local vets and clinics, we have:
• Fostered 7 puppies, helping them get healthy, safe, and ready for loving homes
• Sterilized 4 dogs adult dogs, including the pup-mom, directly reducing future suffering and overpopulation
• Provided daily food and clean water to all 11 dogs
• Covered multiple veterinary home and clinic visits
• Treated scabies, fungal infections, kennel cough, and ongoing flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
This fundraiser exists to help us continue and expand this work. Not someday, but right now.
Our intention is twofold:
1. To humanely control overpopulation through sterilization and preventative care
2. To improve the day-to-day lives of street dogs by ensuring they are fed, treated with dignity, and supported medically when needed
The dogs you’ll see in the photos are the ones we've loved up recently: feed, treated, transported to the vet, fostered, and checked-on daily.
Every contribution, no matter the size, goes directly toward tangible care. If you’re not able to donate financially, please just share our page! Sharing helps tremendously!!
