Hi everyone! My name is Lulu, and I’m about to begin my Master of Public Health at the University of Melbourne this July 2025. I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve been selected as a Challenge Leader for the Cambodia Health Promotion Challenge 2026 with Challenges Abroad Australia!
This two-week program will take place in Battambang, Cambodia, where I will travel with a team of 15-20 students, and work alongside local communities to promote health education, hygiene, first aid, disease prevention, and women’s health. It’s an opportunity to make a genuine impact while growing as a future public health leader. If you would like to join my team, please feel free to register your interest here.
This experience is deeply important to me — it aligns with my passion for global health and my goal of becoming a positive force for vulnerable communities. Participating will give me invaluable real-world skills, enhance my cultural understanding, and empower me to advocate for equitable healthcare both locally and globally.
Your generous support will contribute directly to:
- Program fee and transport ($3750): This covers all accommodation, meals, flights, in-country transport, and coordination costs. It also supports the ongoing work of the FutureSense Foundation in Cambodia, helping to fund long-term community development projects focused on health promotion, education, and livelihoods for low-income families in the Ek Phnom district.
- Essential supplies for workshops ($750): To ensure we deliver meaningful and sustainable health education sessions.
Specifically these include:
- First aid kits for community demonstrations and school donations.
- Educational materials such as posters, models, and activity resources to teach hygiene, sanitation, disease prevention, and women's health.
- Sanitary products and hygiene kits to support health and dignity for women and girls in the community.
Every contribution, big or small, will directly support both my learning journey and the communities we will serve. Thank you so much for believing in this cause and helping me take this important step!
