Support Lulabelle's Fight for Life

Hi everyone! It is that time again where Hailey sees an incredibly sad pup in need of help or facing euthanasia and she has to jump in and try her best to save them. Let me introduce you to Lulabelle, the little yorkie mix that could(n't have a working liver).

Lulabelle is a 7 month old un-spayed little lady who found herself as an owner surrender to the local kill shelter and so sick she was unadoptable and facing euthanasia. Hailey saw her pleading post and the videos of her lethargic, still, shut down body hoping someone would save her before her time ran out and did the most foolish thing she could do - picked her up and took her home to hope she could help.

With medications and love Lu has started to become a puppy again and even wagged her tail for the first time this morning. She is emaciated, 2.5lbs of skin and bones, was dull, lethargic, unable to walk correctly, and losing her hair. Quite a few blood tests and an ultrasound at a specialty ER hospital later, the potential diagnosis is a congenital liver shunt.

This means Lu's liver is not working/formed properly and she will need a CT scan (1k-$1500) and based upon those results surgical correction ($2300-$3300) to live! In the mean time we are going to manage with special dietary changes and medications but these are a more short term solution. I am hoping to help raise some of the funds to get Lulabelle the surgery before she's able to be adoptable and find her perfect forever home she deserves!
