Support Lukus's Battle Against a Rare Cancer
Donation protected
My name is Lukus, I'm 28 years old and have been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of testicular cancer.
I was a vibrant and committed Shift Manager at Starbucks. My car started having transmission issues and couldn't be fixed. This left me reliant on uber for transportation. 3/21/25 i was let go for unforseen circumstances. I tried to appeal the decision but it was final. Since then I have applied for other jobs and have volunteered at the food bank.
4/23/25 I went to the emergency room in excruciating pain. I was kept overnight and underwent CT scan and ultrasound. They discovered multiple tumors in one of my testicle and suggested immediate removal.
4/24/25 I went into surgery & was released the next day. Since I lost health coverge from work I applied for insurance through ACA . I have been approved for insurance and have an appointment to get a referral for the oncologist from the hospital.
5/6/25 The doctor who did my surgery discussed the results from the biopsy. The CT scan also showed evidence of spread to nearby lymph nodes. It happens to be a rare type of cancer and the suggested treatment is about 3 rounds of chemotherapy with continued monitoring every 6 months.
Times are challenging, I'm doing my best to stay positive. I am humbly reaching out for help and support during this journey. My emergency visit & surgery are billed out of pocket. My appointments moving forward will cost me copay. I do not currently have reliable transportation outside of occasional rides from family and friends.
Contributions will go to medical expenses as well as securing reliable transportation. I greatly appreciate all who read my story and just ask if you can't contribute monetarily, please keep me in your thoughts & prayers.
Please share my story with friends and family, Thank you.
