Luke, my nephew, was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer called CML. This is an uncommon form of cancer for children, and unfortunately, the treatment options available to him aren’t as numerous or effective as we wish. Luke lives with his single mother, who manages a small business and takes care of four other children. Since his diagnosis last year, Luke has been fighting an uphill battle, and our family is doing everything we can to support him and his loved ones as they search for a treatment plan to save his life.
