Help Support Luke & His Family Through a Medical Crisis

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Luke’s family received news no one ever expects to hear — doctors had found a brain tumor after he was taken to the ER for neurological symptoms he was experiencing. Alongside the tumor, several cysts were also discovered, one of which was likely causing the immediate issues that led them to seek urgent care.

In a matter of hours, their world was turned upside down.

Thanks to the swift action of the medical team, Luke underwent surgery to remove as much of the problematic cyst as possible. During the procedure, doctors also collected a sample of the tumor for testing so they could better understand what they are dealing with. Now, the family waits — facing a long road ahead, full of uncertainty.

Through it all, their faith has been a source of strength. Family and friends have gathered around Luke and his loved ones, praying for healing, comfort, and answers. Their support has been invaluable during this emotionally and physically draining time.

About Luke

Luke is 9 years old and full of creativity, curiosity, and heart. One of his favorite things to do is build elaborate creations out of popsicle sticks, like trucks, trailers, and forts. He has an imagination that just doesn’t quit.

He’s also a huge fan of bacon — it’s been his number one request since being in the hospital, bringing much-needed smiles during tough days. Another favorite pastime of his is playing video games, especially when he gets to play alongside his dad.

Luke is brave, funny, and endlessly loved. His spirit shines even in the midst of pain and uncertainty.
