Luke is in the fight of his life and needs your help. Luke was a graduate of our class of 2022. He joined the Misericordia University Physician Assistant Program with a dream of helping others and advocating for his patients. Unfortunately, less than a year later, that dream was cut short as Luke found himself in the role of the patient when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 B Cell Lymphoma in the summer of 2023. He has been unable to work since this time and has undergone surgery, suffered from blood clots in the leg and lungs, and had several interventional radiology procedures, all before completing 6 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy.

All the while, Luke has remained positive and optimistic, even after learning the chemotherapy was unsuccessful at achieving a cure. He has recently completed bridge therapy which consisted of radiation and medication and underwent CAR-T cell therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. His out-of-pocket expenses continue to add up, including medical expenses, living expenses, as well as travel and hotel stays in NYC to receive these treatments.

Like many cancer patients, Luke is suffering the burden of cancer physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially. We are hoping to do what we can to help ease the financial burden so he can continue to keep focusing on fighting his cancer and restoring his health.
