Support Luke Valgos' Journey to CrossFit Games

Luke Valgos is a 15 year old student at Turlock High School. A former gymnast since the age of six, he has been training in CrossFit at CrossFit Turlock since 2020. Last year he trained and made it to quarterfinals, missing semifinals by 16 places. This year, despite having a broken finger just weeks before his quarterfinals portion of the qualifiers, he qualified and exceeded his goal making it to semifinals and onto the CrossFit Games placing 10th in the World! Out of 1600 hundred kids in his age group they took only the top 30. On August 29th-31st Luke will have the opportunity to travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan to compete in the 2024 CrossFit Games in the 14/15 age group division.

There are so many facets to getting to this level in this sport. The amount of time, training, commitment and sacrifice it takes, many people do not comprehend. To get here at this age is amazing, having to give up summer fun and socializing in lieu of training. Luke is an honor roll student. During the school year, he would train at 5am prior to going to school and go to the gym directly after school.

This trip will be expensive as he will be traveling with his trainer and parents as support. There is lots of coordination that has to be done. This GoFundMe will only cover a portion of the expenses and we will also be having fundraisers.
